Ferns and a happy accident.

Planning and process.  The challenge of physically making what I envision in my head.  I don't plan details.  I just go by what feels right.  Here is the start of a new piece.

This piece has been sitting on a table in my living room for a good month.  I look at it all the time until I figure out the next step.
My son was throwing a ball in the house and it landed on some dried hydrangea resulting in the solution to my next step.  (I'll keep his 'help' a secret so not to encourage any more house rule breaking.)

Ferns - curled up tight.
Unravel, unwind and uncurl from their roots.
They begin to loosen and stretch after a long winter sleep until they fill their space in the shade of a tree with green feathery stems.
