The kids and I had a much needed quiet and peace-filled holiday this year. Through getting to know my daughter's friends, we have invited God into our hearts. Growing up in the Catholic Church but not practicing for many years, I had forgotten what it was like to be a part of a large, caring community. I'm glad my daughter gets to experience this.
I usually make Christmas gifts. This year, I felt the need to make just one. A stitched ornament for my daughter's friend and her family. A thank you for inviting her into their home. Feeding her, driving her home and being something positive for her to lean on.
