I spent the good part of a day with Jan Yates, in her studio, to continue learning about encaustic painting. As luck would have it I was her only 'student' that day. We shared some laughs, conversation about the art industry and a lovely cup of tea. Jan was very generous to allow me to work in her studio and use all her 'stuff'. The experience has given me the motivation I need to carve out a studio space of my own. Here are some photos of the pieces I worked on that day.
